Dear Colleague,
It seems hard to
believe, but September is right around the corner...the sun is setting a little
earlier each night and back to school sales are abundant! I truly hope your
summer has been filled with adventures and good health.
The beginning of a new
school year creates opportunities for each of us to renew our commitment to
education, to our colleagues who work alongside us, and to our students who
arrive excited and ready to learn. Whatever position
you hold, you play a fundamental role in the education and success of our
students. I
am extremely proud and honored to work with each of you and I would like to thank
you for the enthusiasm and caring spirit that you bring to our District.
One of the main reasons new residents
are attracted to Liverpool is the dedication with which our school district
serves our students. They are our guiding beacon, they are our priority, and
they are the purpose for our work.
Included with this
letter is a link to the schedule for our Staff Orientation Day and Superintendent’s Conference Day on Wednesday, September 5th.
As a reminder, all staff are expected to attend the Opening Day Celebration at
Liverpool High School on Wednesday, September 5th at 8:00 a.m.
Before the hustle and
bustle of the new school year begins...take time to pause, reflect, rekindle, renew, create memories, and
celebrate life. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
Sincerely,
Dr. Mark F. Potter, Superintendent of Schools
